Ultimately undone by tonal inconsistencies, uneven performances, unsympathetic characters, and an overall air of cartoonish overstatement.
Amidst the suspense and the send-ups on the literary scene, Crime Fiction interestingly explores the questions of reality, fantasy and morality.
While it shows some promise in young, honest talent, both the writer and director have growing to do.
