Critic Review - New York Observer

Johnston sacrifices originality for computer graphics and stop-motion camera tricks, and the script, by Andrew Kevin Walker and David Self, bulges with real howlers: "I didn't know you hunted monsters." "Sometimes monsters hunt you!"

Given that this movie was an homage - and an excellent one, make no mistake! - Rex's whining is, as usual, utterly disconnected from the reality of the film. Personally, I think he's mostly upset that the torsos weren't even hairier... I understand that's his kink...

Amalgamate -- Bash? Hardly. Merely a morsel of info from those in the know. You can do with it however you wish...

"Real howlers," huh? Like that pun. but just for the record, "Sometimes monsters hunt you," isn't that bad. If that's the best example you can come up with ... well, you get my point.
