McTeigue is a really crappy director with actors. Why the hell would he decide to do this is beyond me. Maybe like the Wachowski's he believes he's apart of this new hip art form. Sure their film's are stylish but they lack any form of emotion or humanity. I'm not a fan of bullying, but I'll put three hundred on the fact that these guys'(and girl's) asses were crammed with underwear and faces were beaten to a pulp in high school.

If the director can't spell EDGAR ALLAN POE, what's he doing making anything having to do with EDGAR ALLAN POE?
The movie's supposed to be about Edgar AllAN Poe hunting down a serial killer.
I don't HAVE to see it, but even hearing about such a travesty is annoying. Its like what Steven Sommers did to VAN HELSING . . . rather "offensive."
yet, since "the masses" love TWILIGHT and SUPER-NANNY and reality-tv--how edgar allan poe's name is spelled or what EAP does in a movie can't be of any importance either.
ah, "the masses;" now, "stupidity" instead of "religion" is "the opiate (the opium) to the masses"
the dumber or stupider a concept is; the more "the masses" will pay to see it.

What makes you think McTeigue spelled it wrong, Gordon? I mean, it's not like he typed the article out himself.
That IS a really stupid plot, though.
On a side note, I've actually been to the house Poe lived his last years in. The wallpaper is the most hideous green I've ever seen.
