Critic Review - Newark Star-Ledger

If this is a tribute, it's a crass and clumsy one.

To be honest, doesn't surprise me. It's weird because I thought the Farrelly's were a good choice even if I've hated most of their films... but I knew the chances of it being anything more than "Crass and clumsy" were slim. That's all the Farrelly brothers are really any good at.

One line. Crass and clumsy. Sounds exactly what The Three Stooges were and how a current interpretation of them should be. Obviously you either didn't take the time to watch the old Stooges or never did when they were in heavy syndication through the 80's. Either way you have no clue as to what would make a good Stooges movie.

Chie B. Sounds a whole lot like you took no time to even watch the movie you are commenting on. Makes you come across as crass. Bashing the Farrelly Brothers who made a classic comedy with Dumb and Dumber, another genious movie with King Pin and several other good movies is severly clumsy on your part. As with any director there will be some eggs. Sorry all movies can't be Twilight or Avatardian.

After the dismal attempts at the likes of Sgt. Bilko, Bewitched, The Little Rascals, Leave it to Beaver, etc, I would have thought this to be unthinkable to attempt .... untouchable, as it would be the most difficult to pull off. But to the delight of Stooges fans everywhere, they pulled this off magnificently ... absolutely superb! Great job boys! You did your homework well. Jerome Howard, Moe Howard & Larry Fine would be proud. Bring on Shemp!

I never really cared for The Three Stooges, so I didn't look at this as a tribute at all. I saw it as its own adventure, and I laughed a lot more than I thought I would.

Obviously not a whitty fellow. You look too young to have grown up with the Stooges and Our Gangs in perpetual reruns in the 1960s and 1970s... You grew up on a different gas tank of humor. The Farrelly brothers did well with this.

The movie was BRILLIANT, let's not forget the Stooges were NOT funny as feature films and this one is by far better than any of the original feature films they made. ANd it is exactly the same type of style they had, what are you expecting from the Stooges? A kind of humor like that of The Big Bang Theory?! It is just slapstick! If you are a fan you will love it, otherwise, it may not be the film for you.

I'm not a fan at all, but I went into it with an open mind. And I don't think a lot of people did even that much. It was fun, and I went along with it.

Really? Youre getting anal and picky about how neatly done a 3 stooges film was?
Good Lord.
