An admirable Sienna Miller effort isn't enough to save this strange, plasti-quirky mess.
It's meant to be cute and harmless, preying on romantics, but it registers more as complete absurdity, minus the soothing touch of a capable filmmaker.
Camille is a disaster. NEM has given it a pretty picture, but you can't make a silk purse out of a dead sow's ear.
The only people who might enjoy it are necrophiliacs--or masochists. Either way, they have issues.

A watched Camille a while back, and the only thing that is really sticking out is that the film is incredibly trippy. The humor and charm, while good, really is forgettable. Still, the actual story and style is so delightfully twisted and wacked-out that you cannot really help but like it, at least to some degree.
