Total Recall: Antonio Banderas' Best Movies

Summary

To a lot of American filmgoers, Antonio Banderas is the suave Latin heartthrob who came out of nowhere in the 1990s to star in some hits (Desperado, Evita, The Mask of Zorro) and some big misses (Assassins, Never Talk to Strangers, Play It to the Bone). But as film buffs know, Banderas is more than just the guy who co-starred in the worst movie of the aughts. He's built up an admirably diverse filmography over the last 30 years, and with two movies -- his reunion with Pedro Almodóvar, The Skin I Live In, and this weekend's Shrek spinoff, Puss in Boots -- now playing in theaters, we decided this would be the perfect time to revisit some of the many critical highlights from his career. ˇEs tiempo para la Retirada Total! The same week he gets a total recall I discovered two new tidbits about Banderas.

1) He will produce a movie that Melanie Griffith will star in.
2) Melanie Griffith is still alive.

I mean, I really thought she had died or something.

That would explain the Al Davis resemblance she's sporting. I thought it was just a tribute to the old man.

Haven't seen a lot of these, but Shrek 2 and The Mask of Zorro were great. He's a good actor for sure.

Yeah, what's with that. I thought Assassins was pretty cool. And Banderas was totally bad-ass in it. He does pyschotic really well. :)

And some other movie with dance .. i cannot remember its name now ... heheeh!
But one of my fav is the Mask of Zorro!! I saw it a looooooooooooong time ago (when i was 6 to be exactly) n I'm still in love with that movie!

The Legend of Zorro is crap ... at least i think that ... they lost the essence of zorro's movies!! ^^

Doesnt have a huge body of work that I care for. His voice work in Shrek is great, and I did like Once Upon a Time in Mexico.

Good Lord, you people are horrible. So Melanie Griffiths isn't 25 anymore. I still think she is very pretty, including any surgical help she has gotten....and Antonio Banderas seems to love her very much. I can't believe how mean these critics are re Melanie. He has to "bang" Melanie???? He seems to be enjoying it a lot. Unbelievable!!!
