A woman must choose between the ethereal love of her ghostly seducer or a life with her uncaring husband in director Amol Palekar's supernatural romance. There's more to recommend: M.M. Kreem's fine music (melding traditional Rajasthani instrumentation and a dancehall beat), a gone-cuckoo-for-the-color-wheel costume and set design, and a truly bang-up camel race. Now that's entertainment.

Aesthetically pleasing and heavily influenced by eastern religion, this movie handles the sacredness of marriage sacrilegiously.
