Wow on Scarlett Johanson being nominated for Best Supporting. Isn't it just her voice? That's a bold nomination.

Which Sad Emo Teen movie was The Way Way Back? I get "The Way Way Back" "The Spectacular Now" "Kings of Summer" all confused with each other.

Sam Rockwell was FAR from some sad Emo Teen. He was upbeat, unorthodox and incredibly vibrant in the movie. That was an excellent performance!

I do like Sam Rockwell but the movie is clearly about that sad loser teen.

Best list so far! I'm happy to see Adèle, Léa and Scarlett being nominated, James Franco too, for Spring Breakers. Awesome performances by them and usually snubs from major awards

I'm no expert, but Daniel Bruhl deserves a nomination.

You don't have to be an expert to know this. Bruhl was great and better than James Franco is Spring Breakers, even though I thought Franco was great in that movie.

it also sounds like it went through hours of Technical and digital effects to make ti sound Juuuuust Right. Personally I think his voice would have nailed it with out all the added effects.

Another award, another lack of appreciation of 'Before Midnight'. At least it was nominated for the best screenplay, but adapted screenplay? Seriously? Adapted from what??

The screenplays for all three movies were technically "adapted" from characters by a different writer. It has to do with giving credit to the right people, in order to be in line with all the regulations for credit. All three movies were in the adapted category, despite the fact that they were all original scripts.

I'd love to see The Hunt get some love, since OGF and Out of the Furnace won't get any.
