...this long, boring, convoluted, confusing, feeble, disgraceful film is nothing more than a clumsy Chinese Communist attempt to paint Sun Yat sen, a freedom-lover, as an early Communist.

if you actually know anything about history of that particular era, you'd realize in terms of historic accuracies the movie is much better than a lot of movies that received a much higher rating.
however this fell short as historical films are never easy to make, and in this case is executed poorly.
