"You'll Like This Movie." For a movie about Facebook, the taglines ought to write themselves. Anyways, here's over 45 new pictures from The Social Network. Brenda Song's in it, apparently. I used this thumbnail because I'm a big fan of her hair.  Browse the gallery.

Posters of the Week: Black Swan

You probably already saw this poster. Or did you? This one has just come in from the studio, subtly altering portions of the poster (Natalie Portman's face is more elongated, the red less harsh, etc). Lookin' forward to this one.  View the poster.

Video of the Week: Resident Evil: Afterlife clips

Curious how well this one is going to do. Can 3-D make a comeback? Even when riding on weightless action sequences and CGI explosions? Watch the video.

A great week for movies. I'm am REALLY looking forward to Resident Evil 4 in 3D. I'm interested in all of the pictures (other than Yogi Bear, which looks awful.) and all the posters. And I really wanna see most of the movies in the Clips section ( not sure about Tamara Drew.). Good job guys!

it is perharps the worst week of the year so far. And prepare yourself to be disappointed by resident evil 4, I have a talent to smell the bad movies and it is one of them.

Nothing interesting for me.

Nothing interest you? Wow! I don't know if that's sad or just pathetic. Your saying the "Black Swan", "Buried", "Monsters", "Secretariat", "127 Days" & so forth don't interest you? Talk about being close-minded.

P.S. Who in the hell would be interested in "Resident Evil 4"? That film is nothing like Resident Evil material. They should change the name to "Alice" because it's just become a supernatural blah bonanza.

Nope. Each had some good moments but nothing for me to get over exited about.

Call me crazy but i'm really looking forward to secretariat. Great cast and it really is an amazing story anyone who hasn't ever seen it should watch the video of the 72 belmont. Possibly the most dominant athletic performance of the 20th century.

NTROST

NTROST on 09-3-2010 04:53 PM

Why should we call you crazy? Because your looking forward to "Secretariat" which looks to be a solid film? I would say that's having good taste let alone Secretariat was a unique horse & simply a freak of nature (in a good way). What that horse did is simply amazing & pure dominance.

bigbrother on 09-3-2010 05:43 PM

Just said that because horse racing isn't the most popular sport at the moment and i haven't heard much secretariat buzz lately. Glad to see i'm not alone.

I'm sorry, but I have to say it: Secretariat does not look that interesting to me. Every advertisement I've seen for that movie plays on the oh-so-very typical themes of sports movies. The actual story may be very interesting, but what they're doing with it just comes off as cliched to me. But then again, that's just my opinion. I guess I'll wait and see.

Fair enough like i say, they had me beforehand. I can kinda see what you mean about the trailer, but the strong cast gives me hope. If you donā??t end up seeing the movie i'd encourage you to read up on the horse and google footage of the belmont.

Who watches these Resident Evil movies? Does this director do anything else? I used to play the games and loved them in high school. Saw the first movie with excitement and it quickly turned to hate. Why the hell did they go the route they went? Not just the writing, but everything. They made money though, so what do I know.

I am very intrigued by Buried, Black Swan, and 127 Days. Definitely going to keep an eye them.

Black Swan I'm just dying to see, and good 'ol HP comes in a eager second place, just above Monsters.

However, I'd rank that alongside Resident Evil; sure their trackrecord isn't the most impressive, but if there's going to be one film out of the franchise that is going to be a standout, it would prob be this one. Besides, the games had a great premise, and the movies still keep it largely, albeit in less intelligent manners. If anything, it'll be my guilty pleasure since I can't be in Toronto.

On paper, Black Swan's shaping up to be the "'Kids Are All Right' Killer" in the Best Actress categories. 127 Days might get Franco his Best Actor nomination (finally), but I don't think it'll be enough to slow Robert Duvall's chances. Most directors usually don't win for major categories in their follow-ups to films that scored them major awards.

"Resident Evil" was never meant to be a good film. It's a film for the masses. So I can't understand why so many people expect so much from the series.
As for "Yogi Bear" - same as "Scooby Doo" - shallow plot and characters with little or no charisma at all. Boo-Boo was the only thing worth watching in the animated series. I doubt that even if you take all of the episodes there will be enough plot to make a decent movie.
"Harry Potter" will hopefully be great like the rest of the films. I'm still a little bit annoyed that they've decided to release it in 2 parts. And on top of that they think we - the viewers - are some kind of idiots. Come on, the book is too big and that's why we filmed 2 part instead of one whole. Marketing, people. They just want to take more money. I understand that. And most people do. But to lie like this...Pfff.

Resident Evil is just one big mess of movies. Too bad they're not as good(or scary!) as the games.

Being a huge fan of the RE video-game franchise and having enjoyed the film adaptions as "guilty pleasures", I have to say that I am excited for Resident Evil: Afterlife. It looks like mindless good fun like 'Machete' or 'The Expendables'. Anyways, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 is going to be beyond amazing. Dude Date looks hilarious, and Buried looks like a grear thriller. Oh, and I want to see Easy A, Wall Street 2: MNS, and Legendary. I think the rest of the year is going to be splendid, as evidenced by Tron: Legacy, SAW 3-D, Paranormal Activity 2, The Town, Skyline, etc. I can't wait. :)
