Looks like it's stark days ahead for Iron Man, whose third film promises more darkness and more property destruction. Robert Downey Jr. reprises his role with director Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang). Iron Man 3 is in theaters May 3.

Fast Five drew a Certified Fresh rating in 2011, so of course the producers are going back to the well. (We contend the $200 million box office had nothing to do with it.) See everybody -- and we do mean everybody -- return to the series in The Fast and Furious 6 on May 24.

It may be called The Lone Ranger, but we all know this is Tonto's show. Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski and Johnny Depp, along with Armie Hammer as the titular character, are collaborating on the adaptation of one of America's most enduring yarns. See it in theaters July 3.

If Brad Pitt's involved, then it's proof-positive that zombies have finally lurched their way into blockbuster status. This Marc Forster-helmed project has been plagued with reshoots, not to mention it largely eschews the book's episodic framing device. But still: Brad Pitt! Zombies! World War Z is out June 21.

Director Sam Raimi is branching out with Oz: The Great and Powerful, an earnest parable about how the Wizard of Oz came to be. James Franco stars as the title character, alongside Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis, and Rachel Weisz. Take the trip down the yellow brick road on March 8.

More from Dwayne Johnson? In Snitch, he stars as a father who goes undercover for the DEA to release his son imprisoned after a drug deal setup. How far can one man go? Find out February 22.

The World War Z spot has me worried. The music seems to be doing all of the heavy lifting, while the images just seem strangely flat. I smell another Quantum of Solace.

WWZ wasn't a bad book, wasn't a good one either. It was all mini-stories that kind of twisted together.

Exactly. It doesn't strike me as a great choice for a film adaptation.

So, you suspect World War Z will be a Bond film that is still better than the last three horrible pieces of crap that came out of the Brosnan era? Maybe you should get your nose checked.

Running zombies? I read world war z they were very traditional zombies not 28 days later rage zombies typical Hollywood can't do anything original but also can't make a faithful adaptation *face palm*.

This is the most original zombie depiction I have seen. Instead of shambling individuals, they are a horde that moves without concern for self-preservation and personal space. After Katrina, the 2004 tsunami, Fukushima, and Sandy, how appropriate it is to portray zombies as an unstoppable torrent?

Yeah, they move more like a entire ant colony covering some animal. I haven't seen a zombie movie which anything close to that before.

This Mick Travis guy kind of makes me laugh. He says he's seen over 100K movies. That's about 20 years worth of viewing. Factor in work and sleep, and I find that claim quite suspicious, unless he's about 70 and that's all he ever did with his free time. However, given his profile pic, I'm doubting he's an old timer. Such a strange thing to lie about.

It just sounds like a made up claim. How do you even know you've watched 100K? Do you have a list or count somewhere? It seems like quite an exaggeration that you pulled out of your ass to defend your stance on Memento. Even professional film critics have not watched that many.

If you watched 6 films a day (12 hours approx), it would take 45 years to reach 100,000.

I've seen enough movies to have long ago given up any attempt of counting how many movies I've seen. I own a couple thousand though.

That's another ridiculous claim. 80% of films worldwide during that time frame, or just US? The AFI catalog only has around 60K films and that includes stuff that would be really hard to find, even in today's market. As Janson pointed out, watching movies would basically had to have been your full time job since you were a kid. I don't care if you hated Momento, but when I see these kinds of ridiculous claims, I just don't understand it. I'm not a fan of hyperbole, I guess.
