Critic Review - NYC Movie Guru

Highly entertaining, eye-opening, scary and enraging. You'll never look at Obama the same way ever again nor will you trust his empty promises.

Avi, congratulations, you have revealed yourself as either a moron or as a brilliant author of inflamatory content designed to elicite mass emotional response and therefore lots of comments. I suspect the latter. The film is pure demagoguery playing on the fears, prejudices, and emotions of class of american society that continues to see their standard of living decline due to the policies of the Republican party over the last 30 years. The film fails to point out an actual Obama policy that is derived from the president's personal narrative. Saudi Arabia and Sunni Islam are the main threats and the Romney foreign policy team is concerned about Shia Iran. 9-11 hijackers Saudi, Al Qaida Saudi, Taliban - trained in Pakistani schools funded by Saudi...All of the problems of the ME go back to Saudi Wahabi Sunni Islam and the export therof...funded by petro dollars. By oil from Saudi and fund the Jihad..so when the President wants to invest a few bucks into kickstarting energy next he's being anti-american? I've not seen President Obama walking hand in hand with the oil sheiks like past presidents...

Steve....rather specific critique, but I'm still guessing you've never seen this movie. Just be honest...say you don't like it, and don't want to support it...don't act like you've seen it and have an educated critique.

You do know that the film is funded by the Koch Brothers, right? As in the spoiled little rich boys who have funneled millions of dollars towards the campaigns of right-wing politicians, and as much trashing Obama's record? The ones who co-founded Americans for Prosperity along with Karl Rove?

Spoken like a person who doesn't realize what an intellectual fraud D'Souza is. If you'd like to see his abilities, check out his debate with Christopher Hitchens on YouTube.

I wouldn't buy a ticket for movie that doesn't see this as a political tool to make is seem that Obama is unfit to lead because of his pass and what impact that had on him. You learn about leaders through books and talking to those who them well you don't learn about a man by some third party telling you this is what happen and this is what it did to him. If you want both sides get his book and then get other's book about him and then watch this movie but don't say this movie is great when most of you went to see the movie without the whole truth as a great man said "a lie will go around the world before truth is told" I'm not saying the movie is a lie but it's not the whole truth either. Please people do me a flavor learn everything from many source before you say I know the man when you clearly do not.

This is blatant anti-Obama propaganda; Avi has clearly fallen for it. D'Souza is no more or less than the Conservative Michael Moore, but minus the humour and double the negative assumptions of a hypothetical future. Try forming your own opinions for a change, rather than basing them on the clearly biased likes of D'Souza or Fox News.

As a sidenote, I will never understand why Conservatives use the term 'Liberal' as an insult. Not only is it broad-stroking ('Liberalism' is a pretty large umbrella term) it is also unlikely to be taken as an insult by the recipient.

Did you see it? I'm going out on a limb here and guess you did not. How about just saying..."I don't want to see it and I'll bet I won't like it," rather than "no more or less than the Conservative Michael Moore, but minus the humour and double the negative assumptions of a hypothetical future." Seems like a rather specific critique for something you've never seen. Am I wrong?

Perhaps the film maker is correct. Difficult to say given the complexity of the problems and/or profound economic issues. However, I would have tuned a keener ear to the matter if the film maker wasn't conservatism's point man as to fleshing out the issues of the "troubled blacks" of this country. Again, not saying he's wrong, just questioning his motives and those that promote him.

Saw it and I can say with all I have read and studied up on as I've followed Obama through out his tenure I have to say I'm glad I didn't vote for this man! I have always had an uneasy feeling about Obama that I could never quite put a finger on...but this laid bare to me the "truth"!

If you vote for Obama again, now you have to ask; "Am I betraying my country"? and "Is his economy doing me good"?

Thanks to a "dormant" press, we know nothing substantial about Obama's past...His childhood, his grandparents, his upbringing, his education, past friends and girl friends?, his religion, his questionable left leaning political views, his "real" relationship with Bill Ayers, his thoughts on Saul Alinsky relative to his radica political and social views, his relationship with Rev. Wright and what influence his rants had on the young Obama, etc. Anything that can shed light on the forementioned is more than welcome. The American electorate have been left in the dark far too long!

If your party affiliation makes you like or hate this movie WITHOUT EVER HAVING SEEN IT, then your opinion is uninformed and worthless. In fact, it is not an opinion at all, rather it is a clattering symbol clanging for the sake of itself. Same thing with a Michael Moore film, don't tell me it's worthless unless you've seen it and given it some thought. After that....opine all you want.

That being said though, I'm glad to see we are not being divided into warring factions intent on blaming each other for our collective woes. If that were the case, then we would be easily controlled through lies and manipulation. As long as your team occasionally wins....you are ok. Gee...glad that's not happening.

Yeah there is a very long history on both sides but fact is the republican party NOW is trying to reduce the number of poor, middle class, and college students able to vote. When is the last time you had to prove you were a citizen when walking down the street???? But yet republicans have been pushing laws to do the same exact thing to Hispanics NOW. Not past NOW

Wow, Avi Offer, all that world-view you've destiled from a one-and-a-half hour hatchet job from a known partisan hack who trolls the halls of Fox "news" for free publicity?

Dinesh will swear on a stack of his superstitious iron-age fairy tales he calls the "bible" that his alleged "god" is real and he even announced an "Atheist Batching Week" on AOL before they fired the hateful schmuck. He just can't seem to get that caste-system socialization out of his holier-than-thou mindset, which contradicts what Ayn Rand really stood for. Nor can Dinesh apprehend that there are over 3,000+ "gods" in thousands of sects, denominations, cultures and tribes from all over the world, all who have one thing in common - they each think that their version of "god' is the only correct one.

So whom among the billions of non-believers in his alleged "god" does he want us to start "bashing" first?

Dinesh D'Souza's movie is full of biased conjecture and paranoid speculation about the future from the same D'Souza who was blaming the bad economy on Obama in 2008 before Obama was even sworn into office, as if it weren't bad enough that D'Souza free publicity, FFF - Fox Fixed and Fake "news" wasn't lying about the Bush's wrecked economy enough before, during and after Obama was elected. Unfair, imbalanced and unashamed.

For every lie that someone can cite, in context, from the alleged "liberal" media, it's easy to quote 3 times more lies from the likes of Dinesh and his promoters at Fox, beginning with their daily lies of "no spin" and "fair and balanced". - It's rich men lying to the middle class that it's all the poor person's fault...millions of poor people in the bible belt because "conservatives" insist on procreation and then their bible-belt husbands leave or divorce by the millions, leaving millions of poor children to take care of.

I've seen this first-hand all over conservative areas of the bible-belt. But people vote their social prejudices far more than their compassion and the bible they claim to cling to. The same bible that has over 300+ calls for equality, generosity, compassion and helping the poor as much as we help ourselves. I know I help poor mother's and children every chance I get, not because of rewards in an invisible heaven nor threat from a make-believe hell, I do it twice over by not voting for millionaire, hypocritical Republican leaders who are marketed free-of-charge all day long on Fox Fixed "news".
The same Republican millionaires who will lie to millions that they are "good Christians" while ignoring many of the most liberal tenets perscribe by Christ, and ignoring that "It is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven." I'm all for getting rich, myself and I own five successful internet businesses. But I don't need mansions and collections of cars to boast (another abomination in THEIR bible) nor prove my success. I can't take my earning with me, so I work because I enjoy it and most of all I enjoy uplifting the working poor so that they can help themselves and others in turn. Some don't, but many do, and if I've changed even one life, that's worth their weight in gold to me.
