Has Abrams Found His Spock?
The guy's done a LOT of TV, but you'd probably remember him best from 24 or Heroes. And now it looks like the guy (Zachary Quinto is his name) has been tapped to play Spock in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek prequel.

"24" Movie Still Coming ... Only Not That Soon
One of the "24" creators recently shared some words with iFMagazine, and of course the subject of the movie adaptation came up. Executive producer / director Jon Cassar had a few promising things to say -- but I think it's safe to assume that the "24" movie is still a long ways off.

Writers Hold 24 Movie Hostage
Okay, it isn't quite as dramatic as the headline suggests but it's "24," so we have to make it sound intense. While Kiefer Sutherland had hoped to shoot a "24" feature film in between the current sixth season and the next one, even he realized the schedule made preparing a solid movie script impossible.

First Shot of the Reunion Between "Alien" and "Predator"
At first it sounded like a true fanboy dream: "Alien" beasties and "Predator" monsters in the same movie! And then it came out -- and even those who "kinda" liked "Alien vs. Predator" would be quick to admit that the movie really shoulda been, well, better. But with each new sequel comes fresh hope, or if not fresh hope then new pics, like the one we now have for "Alien vs. Predator 2."

It's been about half a year since we got all excited when Fox announced their big-screen "24" adventure ... but obviously a project like this is going to take a good while to get rolling. But Kiefer Sutherland recently chatted with About.com, and he divulged some fairly interesting insights.

Hugh Jackman to Become "Amateur" Spy
Forget James Bond and Matthew Bourne. Hugh Jackman wants his very own spy franchise, and he'll be using Robert Littell's "The Amateur" as stepping stone number one.

"24's" Michelle Dessler to Battle Aliens and Predators
Since her services are (spoiler) apparently no longer needed after "24's" most recent season, the lovely Reiko Aylesworth has just signed on to star in the sequel to "Alien vs. Predator." She'll be co-starring with Steven Pasquale, who's best known for his work on "Rescue Me."

Transformers: The Title?
The guy who plays heroic Secret Service agent Aaron Pierce on "24" (Glenn Morshower) dropped a few inadvertant hints recently: Seems he's headed to "New Mexico" to shoot a movie for "Spielberg & Bay" called "Prime Directive." Hmmmm.

'24': The Movie?
Could the Jack Bauer Power Hour be coming to your local theatre? It seems that Fox has at least some preliminary ideas to try and turn its popular TV series "24" into a feature film. While a script hasn't yet been developed, producer/director Jon Cassar said the film is a possibility and at least two years away from any real production. The problem right now, according to Cassar, is trying to figure out how to adapt the format of "24," where 24 hours play out in real time over the course of a season.
