"24's" Michelle Dessler to Battle Aliens and Predators
Since her services are (spoiler) apparently no longer needed after "24's" most recent season, the lovely Reiko Aylesworth has just signed on to star in the sequel to "Alien vs. Predator." She'll be co-starring with Steven Pasquale, who's best known for his work on "Rescue Me."
From ComingSoon.net by way of Variety: "Reiko Aylesworth and Steven Pasquale have been cast as the leads in 20th Century Fox's "Alien vs. Predator 2," which begins filming next week in Vancouver, reports Variety.
Greg and Colin Strause direct from a script by "Armageddon" writer Shane Salerno. Davis Entertainment's John Davis and Robbie Brenner are producing.
Aylesworth, a former series regular on Fox's "24," recently finished filming "The Killing Floor," executive produced by Avi Arad and Doug Liman, as well as a supporting role in "Mr. Brooks."
Pasquale appears in the FX series "Rescue Me." His film credits include "Aurora Borealis."

dracus writes: on Sep 25 2006 06:16 PM Alien Vs Predator, the ultimate B movie that never took itself seriously and became exactly what it intended to be; a fun, mindless popcorn movie that you can toss into the DVD player and enjoy whenever you're tired of thinking. What's so wrong with this kind of a movie every once in awhile? (Reply to this) |

Visa writes: on Sep 25 2006 08:49 PM In reply to this comment (#844980) I don't think they produced this crap thinking it would be a "B" movie... just kinda happened that way. Problem is, people like me (and many others posting here) can see the seemingly limitless potential of how great this franchise crossover could be if they didn't cater to people like you. I'm sure you'll enjoy the watered-down version they'll slop out but for me, I'd prefer something better (where's Ridley Scott or James Cameron when you need them..) If they're just going to churn out half-assed crossovers why not cover em all: Jason vs Freddy vs Aliens vs Predator At least you would save the people gullible enough to watch them in the theatre a little money....
