L.A.'s much-vilified San Fernando Valley is the setting for the chaotic goings-on in this multi-plotted comedic thriller featuring a murderous insurance scam perpetrated by sadistic double-crossers, a bumbling, love-struck hit man, a kidnapped, gallstone-suffering art dealer, a washed-up, suicidal screenwriter, a pair of burnt-out undercover cops, and one of the best catfights ever filmed. Guilty fun. [More]

Reviews for 2 Days In The Valley
It's pure entertainment -- nothing too serious, nothing too deep -- with an artistic sensibility.
Herzfeld, an award-winning television writer and director, didn't craft either a compelling story or create characters with any real depth.
A jumbled hodgepodge with an excess of plot masquerading as hip thriller.
On the whole, there are some good moments in the movie, but altogether, 2 Days in the Valley is about one day too much.
Herzfeld was obviously shooting for Pulp Fiction meets Short Cuts, but the film is more like Four Rooms meets Prêt-à-Porter.
As a joy ride, 2 days in the Valley is like a drive down Sunset Boulevard in a convertible Cadillac -- so very Valley, it's shallow but fun.
The plot underlies even the most inexplicable scenes and eventually links even the most widely separated characters, but what makes the movie fun is the dialogue and the behavior.
A genuinely human redemption story wrapped in a dark, violent thriller.
Herzfeld's characters border on the bizarre, and yet each is endearing.
Not everyone will get this film, but for those who appreciate the delectable rewards of black comedy, this is an encounter with substantial rewards.
