AA great movie. Somehow I have run into a string of movies lately where the lives of about 6 people all intertwine with each other during the movie. This one is the best of all. Danny Aiello plays an excellent part, along with Paul Mazursky. What we have is a divorced couple, and the wife pays to have her husband killed, which sets of a sequence of events that not only are comical but also suspenseful at times. The Sound Track helps make this a 5 star movie. get it anyway you can, its excellent. 5 STARS

A great cast and a good film but it seemed like it was trying to be something it wasn?t, an American Mike Leigh film if you will!

Extremely underrated Tarantino- esque ensemble film from writer/Director John Herzfeld. It's quirky characters, bursts of blood, and sly humor make this (unfairly dubbed!) "Pulp Fiction Clone" definately worth checking out.

James Spader makes this film by far. Too bad Teri Hatcher is in it.

Lee Woods: You have one minute to decide the rest of your life.

A hit man comedy set in the San Fernando Valley, about a number of peoples lives intertwined during the course of 48 hours.

A good cast of supporting characters and a lot funny dialog mixed with some fairly dark subject matter make this the perfect kind of movie that few can appreciate, hence its cult status.

Standout performances include Jeff Daniels as a Vice cop, James Spader as a vicious hit man, Danny Aiello as an older hit man, and Paul Mazursky as a suicidal director.

Allan Hopper: How can you take this loser's word? You can't believe him!
Teddy Peppers: I'll take his word over yours. It's been my experience, more often than not, that a loser has more honor than a winner.

A strange film following the lives of a few characters who all get mixed up in each others lives during 2 days in the valley. Stars a young Terri Hatcher and Charlize Theron in unusual roles for both. Similar idea to Crash but no where near as good.

Yet another post Tarantino crime thriller, but a decently written one. A little self-conciously quirky, but Jeff Daniels is great as the sneeringly obnoxious cop.

Admittedly a Tarantino rip-off, but more good-natured.

Entertaining to watch, especially sexy Charlize in quite a memorable role.

This multiple-stories-intersecting-at-the-end cornucopia was actually a strikingly fresh approach at the time of its release in 1996 and represents one of the true successes of that oft-imitated form. Also achieves the rare feat of maintaining interest & involvement in the lives and deeds of a collection of criminals & crooked lowlifes. Charlize Theron has never looked better either - rawr!

Another one of them intertwining ensemble drama pieces, where peoples lives collide in ways that rarley actually happen in real life. Some pretty good performances. Danny Aiello being the stand out. Eric Stoltz always does a good job. Jeff Daniels was pretty good. An early performance from Charlize Theron (you get to see her boobs in this (so what, like it's anything we havent seen before anyways.)) That landlord dude from Mike Leighs Naked (this guy plays an asshole like no one else!) Just to name a few. In short this movie was pretty good, and it is under seen as I think a lot of similar movies are praised and have done a worse job with this style (Crash anyone?) But the fact remains that I really don't ever need to see a movie like this ever again. If I saw this when it first came out in 96 it might've seemed more fresh, but in 2011 I'm pretty burnt out with this style. Really trying to not bash this too badly as it was really well paced and enjoyable for the most part, sometimes even funny. If you like these sort of films you'll probably love this, I just can't deal with this style anymore. I should note once more that I'm not reviewing this film negatively, it does what it does well, I'm just sick of the style. I encourage people to see this for themselves and make up their own mind as it really is well done.

I overrated this film because of its talented cast. I was frankly a little disappointed.

There's something about the 90s and films with guns and crime in the 90s that has a certain charm. This is jammed packed with actors I really like which include Jess Daniels, James Spader and Eric Stoltz. Those guys are amazing and aren't seen in much, they should be.

This is a movie that gets better after you see it a second time. James Spader's character is evil but hot!

OK, it's a Tarantino inspired movie. One of the better ones. Before you bitch about it remember: Everyone associated with this and the way it got you into the theater was predicated upon knowing it was Tarantino-like. Would you have watched it if it was advertised as a John Herzfeld film?

a very entertaining movie. a great ensemble cast. it's about different people living thier lives with their own stories, and how they all eventually tie together over the course of 2 days. if you don't have enough reasons to think charlize theron is hot, watch this. besides, the acting is great. james spader's hitman character is just too much. it helps to solidify why he's such a good actor!

A twists and turns kind of story. It takes three different relationships until they are all intertwined. (a murder, cops and a brother and sister with their friends)
