Reviews for 65 Revisited
Originally made to supplement a new DVD release, this is one extra worth watching on the big screen, thanks to additional, and extraordinary, concert footage that never made it into the original film.
For Dylan fans, 65 Revisited will be a treat; for others, it gives a positive glimpse into the world of the folksinging wunderkind.
While not as revealing as the original film, there's some great stuff here!
The great relief of D. A. Pennebaker’s 65 Revisited is that this time you can hear Bob Dylan’s songs in their entirety.
Where the original was defiantly not a concert film, but a chronicle of the astonished hubbub surrounding the first hipster folksinger, the follow-up's treasure lies with seven intact live performances.
Not fake: Dylan's staggering talent as a solo performer, which 65 Revisited showcases far better than its A-side antecedent.
