If we're going to do film criticism, perhaps we use it on the film and not fans of a particular director?

and its medically incorrect too -haneke forgot to research cerebrovascular disease in elderly and fell for vulgar sentimentality -i am totally disappointed with my favourite director here ,shame on critics who make this sadomasochistic dehumanising medical drama into a treatise on amour .

that was true to an extent for funny games (i still liked it), but amour doesnt condemn or chastise the audience in any way. its easily hanekes most tender and compassionate work, hence the high tomato meter rating. all of his other work up until this point had been critically divisive (besides the white ribbon)
