Craft Oscar Nominees Object to Program Wrinkles
Some of the Academy Award nominees in the crafts categories are upset over Oscar show producer Gil Cates' plan to switch up some of the statue presentations, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Those in the more technical categories feel the presentation will marginalize their efforts. For some categories, all the nominees will stand on stage, and the winner will step forward to accept the award; for others, the nominees will be presented with their awards while they are seated in the audience, and the nominees for specific categories will be grouped together.

Spike1967 writes: on Feb 17 2005 06:11 AM I dont blame them at all. They've always treated the non big stars, like the technical nominees, like crap. Then they let the big winners ramble on and on during their acceptance speeches, and they give these guys 10 seconds to say their thank you's. What they dont realize is, without the writers and all the people working behind the scenes, these big stars wouldn't look so good. (Reply to this) |
