In THE 7TH DAWN, eight years have passed since World War II, and Ferris (William Holden), once an American mercenary, has taken up residence in the Malaysian jungle and emerged as a prosperous plantation owner. When Malaysia, now under British rule, is faced with a communist takeover, things start to go awry for the successful entrepreneur. His old war buddy, Ng (Tetsuro Tamba), shows up from Moscow on a mission to oversee the communist uprising, and when the Malaysian government links Ferris to Ng, they arrest his girlfriend, Dhana (Capucine). Caught between a rock and a hard place, Ferris must choose between protecting his old friend or freeing his captive lover. Set in the exotic jungles of Malaysia, THE 7TH DAWN is an unforgettable film, with its unique blend of booming action and brainy politics making it accessible to all audiences. [More]
