Movie Info

It marked one of the strangest and most beguiling series of events in memory, and one convincing enough to challenge even the most hardened skeptics. Marrieds Andy and Lisa Wyrick found their world turned upside-down when their four-year-old daughter, Heidi, claimed to be enjoying regular visits with "Mr. Gordy," a gray-haired older man who would regularly chat with her and push her on a swing. Curiously, no one else could ever see Mr. Gordy, and instead, the Wyricks often found their daughter sitting in her room and blankly having conversations with an empty space. Soon, Heidi identified a second figure, known as Con - this one a slightly malevolent, one-armed figure covered in blood - and began to witness a faceless apparition drifting through the house. Curiously, the parents researched the phenomenon and indeed found that two deceased neighbors, named Mr. Gordy and Con, had once inhabited the premises. The situation grew direr when the spirits began harming the family - Heidi turned up with claw marks in her face, and Andy with claw marks on his side. With nothing else left to do, the family summoned parapsychologist Dr. William Roll. This documentary travels inside of the Wyricks' eerie case for a point-by-point examination of the details.more

Audience Reviews for A Haunting in Georgia

I saw this for the first time when I was seven years old, and it scared me to death. This is probably the best t.v. documentary I have ever seen. They actually use the real people who experienced these events in the reenactments. Also, this, along with A Haunting in Connecticut, is responsible for creating the t.v. series, A Haunting, which is one of the scariest shows on t.v. in my opinion. I personally believe everything about the Wyrick story 100%, and this documentary made me feel what it would be like to go through their experiences.

A pretty decent documentary as in the same vein of A Haunting in Connecticut, but not as creepy. It did have its creepy moments and this was something that I really got into. I've seen several documentaries with this family and Mr. Gordy and the details never seem to change. Well worth the watch if this is the kind of thing you are interested in.
