I hate to say this, I just saw Die Hard 5 as it was released in Korea a week earlier than the US.

All of these films could have easily been number one because I oved them all. The first one is a classic of course. The fourth movie is vastly underrated as I don't get why people hate this film. I like the other two films equally so it was hard to choose which one was better

"Die Hard" - Duh, easily the most perfect action film. 10/10

I find it very hard to say, I actually put "2" and "Vengeance" tied for 2nd for how both handled sequels quite differently but both succeed. "2" I felt like is very rare instance of repeating the same formula of the original and succeeding enough of the time, including a few elements I thought improved actually. In "Vengeance" they knew it was time to shift gears and it really did and succeeded just as equally great. Both 8.5/10

"Live Free" - The most flawed and problematic of them all...so far. But still captured some essence of the 80s, 90s action that put it a notch above the average action flick these days. Still watch it on a regular basis and enjoy it enough. 7/10

And despite it being the lowest on my list, I am still a fan of Die Hard 2, which speaks to the power and longevity of this series - it is on the whole, in my opinion, the best action series ever made. Of course, that could all change this Thursday. Director and Screenwriter have poor credentials. I have very little confidence in their ability to pull it off. However, there's a chance that the movie could pull through based on Willis' charm and grit alone - it wouldn't be the first time.

Personally, I find WITH A VENGEANCE to be easily the strongest of the sequels and was really surprised that the RT Critics meter actually rated it the he lowest. I do think DH2 and LIVE FREE are very entertaining as well though.

I've watched it and imho this the worst.. I feel like watching a new movie and lost that 'Die Hard' essence here.. He is too powerful and the villain was such a weakling.. He supposed to be helpless but because he he is a Mc Clane and Mc CLane is Die Hard, then he can getaway the trouble. The Best for me is Die Hard, Die Hard 4, Die Hard 3, Die Hard 2 and Die Hard 5

A Die Hard movie without good characters, a memorable/classic villain, an interesting premise and practical (not CGI) effects is NOT a Die Hard movie...it is just a run-of-the-mill February action film with a character named John McClane thrown in to make money off of it.
