It's such a shame. The Die Hard films use to be reliable entertainment. Sure, the fourth film wasn't all that great, and it's been awhile since we've last seen the franchise. But from what I've heard, I'm gonna have to agree with you, DP. Bruce will need another "Moonrise Kingdom" if he wants to save face.
The fourth film made 134 stateside and 383 worldwide. I doubt it gets to 500, but 400 seems like a safe bet. Considering the fourth one was relatively well received, I think it will do better, so I'll go for about 150 US and 440 worldwide.
In regards to the box office, there's no doubt in my mind it's going to be a hit. As for the reception from both critics and audiences I'm not 100% at the moment, hopefully this will be the best Die Hard since the first one, but there is no guarantee this will be the case.
100 million worldwide isnt anything in the box office. Considering the last one did almost 400 million worldwide I dont think you are going to see a drop down to 100 ;)

I honestly think it could tank. Two months ago I would have thought it was a sure thing, but now that Ahnold and Sly have had flops, all bets are off.
