You have to admit that it seems like a lot of reviewers *caugh* STAR MAGAZINE *caugh* *caugh* MOST TABLOID MAGAZINES *caugh* ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY* *caugh* like to give these Twilight actors good reviews just to avoid the numerous twi-tards from going bat-shi.t crazy with hate mail, and ET just keeps the ball rolling.

"Lautner's not a terrible actor"? Are you guys serious? You could at least try to make it seem like you're not trying to just say something good about him so you don't get hate mail.

Anyone who has a brain can see that Taylor Lautner can't act. He's as stiff as Pattinson, and as emotionless as Stewart. He's literally the perfect mix of both of them.

Here, here! Taylor Lautner is a terrible actor, just like the rest of the Twilight cast, and a lot of magazines kiss their asses anyway. Read their interviews *barf*. So much brown nosing. It's the same with a lot of actors/actresses and celebs in general. A lot of them are paid to say nice things, though. You know Roeper gave Eclipse and A???? He was either on drugs or paid off.

Lautner is a terrible actor and you clearly are not someone who has a brain. Why don't you *caugh* up an English dictionary.

Wrong, Owen. He's a terrible actor.

If he's such a good actor, I'd like to see him try to pull off an actual good action film. Does he have the charisma and manliness of Willis, Arnold, or Statham (none of whom are great actors either)? Didn't think so. I can't see him ever being a convincing thespian or a convincing hero.

He is only 19 years old, and you expect him to be as good as Brad Pitt and other huge stars already? As of now he is better than many actors out there. You really don't know how to judge acting skills, my guess is you have it out for the boy. Not to worry though, many people are jealous- just like yourself.

Pitt's early roles were pretty damn good. 12 Monkeys, True Romance, Seven, Kalifornia, etc. Jodie Foster deliverd amazing performances when she was barely in her teens. Tom Cruise did some great work in the '80s when he was young, as well. Using the guy's age as an excuse to be a bad actor is illogical. You either got it or you don't.

Well if all of them were good, what is so bad about Taylor?

What's so bad about Taylor is that he can't act. Only reason he is even in this position was because Summit wanted anyone cheap to throw in to the first Twilight movie.

He is wooden and emotionless, with zero charm, charisma, or anything that an actual person might have. This is the general consensus. I do not think that anyone is "jealous", it is a very widely held opinion that he is a (very) bad actor who just gets gigs because he is attractive. I've never acted a day in my life, and I'm a hundred percent confident that I could have pulled off this role better than he did (minus the attractive part).

You are so right. He has no charisma or screen presence. Hopefully this will be the last time we see him trying to carry a movie. He has no talent and is not leading man material.

lol your comment makes me laugh. he is nowhere near better than many of the actors out there. just thinking of some new budding actors off the top of my head i can think of joseph gorden levitt, sam worthington, and chris evans.

Jeff, it's okay if you're gay for Taylor, just don't use that gayness to try to defend his shitty acting.

Toddler versions of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. Actually, never mind, pretty sure either one of them would make a more suitable lead for this movie. Or any movie.

Are you kidding me? If he is not a bad actor then who could be worst than this. He is the worst actor ever. He is a piece of steroid infected wood. He sounds like a little girl which is not good if you want to be a action star. He has about as much appeal as a yeast infection. I pray that this movie fails so we dont have to look at his mug ever again. He needs to pay his due and not be piggybacking off of a popular movie franchise. He needs to be made to audition for roles and have to fight for those roles and then maybe he can become a decent actor and never ever make a movie like this again

im really not sure who is worse Pattinson or Lautner. Lautner is overall a worse actor thanks to his inexpressive block face but Pattinson is more fucking obnoxious, ruining a couple of potter pics and trying to play fucking SALVADOR DALI. i just know Kristen Stewart can be fantastic outside of Twilight, but her co-stars are absolute bores on the screen.

Also it can't all be blamed on Lautner, as bad as he is, John Singleton should fucking KNOW BETTER.

How is the guy obnoxious, he's not trying to force himself upon us by being in crap like this. He's doing more independent stuff. Also he was pretty good in Potter.

Agreed that Kristen Stewart shouldn't have her acting ability based on the Twilight Saga. I'm not a fanboy but from her other work that I've seen (Adventureland, The Runaways) she has credibility as an actor.

The same can't be said for Lautner. I suspect we won't be seeing too much from him in the future.

There is still hope for Pattinson. He has that british accent, he is tall, charming, and has some presence on screen. He does not take himself that seriously. He really tries and just doesn't assume that a bunch of stupid teenage girls will make him a big action star. Pattinson just needs some acting lessons and accept that he is more of a supporting actor and not a lead actor. Once he makes these few adjustments he will be a fine actor. Taylor on the other hand really believe he is the next Tom Cruise, Matt Damon, Leo DeCipario. Matt Damon even made a comment a few months ago about how he should just move out of the way or how Taylor is better looking or some kind of crap like that. These other stars are also afraid of those Twi-hards and terrified of saying anything bad about the Twilight actors.

LOL there are two things terribly wrong with your opinion of Pattinson. 1) He's not trying to be an "action star". I challenge you to prove me otherwise with an example of two. And 2) he has something almost no one in his generation does right now. It's something called the "it factor", in spades. You can't learn that in acting school. And the industry knows it.

He doesnt have the "It Factor"....if that was so, even being as bad as he is, the movie reviews and gross amount of the film would be higher.

I have to say most of these comments are from haters. I don't like Lautner and lord knows he needs to get better but GOD so what? many actors learn as they go. He was just lucky and happen to be seen as attractive and that's helped him. What's new? Why HOPE him badness?

He's a bad actor. When he tries to act all emotional it's just laughable and very awkward to watch. He just isn't good. My advice to him is to spend less time in the gym and more time in acting classes.

Sorry, but the kid can't act at all. His fame is based on sex appeal and longing from the Twilight Franchise 'fangirls'. The studios throw him in a film only because they know it will be somewhat successful at the box office, and they'll make their bank($). I highly doubt we will see this fellow in any more action films. Most likely he'll return to those cheesy teenage, coming of age dramas
(or comedies). You threw me off hard when you stated that Lautner was "not a terrible actor"...He is. Abduction is an abomination to the action/thriller genre and his acting was so cringe-worthy that I felt extremely embarrassed for him while I watched Abduction. Had this film been labeled as a COMEDY then his acting and the film would have been taken seriously...
