The problem with movies based on a single joke is that a single joke is rarely funny enough to sustain the running time of a feature-length film. And with "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," the whole joke is in the title.

I'm sorry, but what part of the movie's promotional campaign indicated that this movie was supposed to be funny?

I agree. After seeing the movie, it should be clear to a "top critic" that the title is not a joke, but the concept of the story.

so if this movie was called "van helsing: the vampire hunter" the movie would be good? but because it uses a real person and uses fake history, that makes the movie bad? Actually this movie is fiction and the Abraham Lincoln in it is fiction and America in it is fiction. So if something in this movie doesn't go along with our history then it doesn't matter, and if you try to make it matter then thats your fault for choosing to no like an ACTION MOVIE not a comedy. Now go look up (on youtube) Epic rap battles of history chuck Norris vs Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln is like Chuck Norris now, except cooler!
