Offbeat, intriguing and thought-provoking tragicomedy.
Tough to love, but easy to enjoy.
Typical in only one way: It is a typically complex, intelligent and challenging Atom Egoyan film.
Unfortunately, The Adjuster doesn't hold up for its entire length and much of it is played in such a flat, unemotional tone that the result is a real snooze.
Great combination of sound, plot and characters. While it seems to be meant as an unsettling film, I found it to be quite inviting. Yes it's bizarre, but it has a very realistic quality about it (even though the characters were incredibly phony) that is true to life. It's a great piece of film making and a unique
