dahluzz writes: on Oct 09 2007 06:03 AM Jeff, not to nitpick, but it should be 'imaginarium' not 'imagination' in that last small paragraph. that aside, this sounds like the type of project only Gilliam could direct. I'm filled with a slightly wary (after the brothers grimm) excitement. (Reply to this) |

lavatory love machine writes: on Oct 09 2007 08:24 AM it's always a good thing that gilliam is making another movie, unlike tim burton mhe has to go through hell to get the money but it's always worth the wait (Reply to this) |

Weicher writes: on Oct 09 2007 09:11 AM Terry Gilliam is often overrated. No offense, Brazil and 12 monkeys are sci-fi classics, and The fisher king is a good movie, but the rest... The brothers Grimm? Tigerland? Ufff... (Reply to this) |

Pilgermann writes: on Oct 09 2007 10:05 AM TIGERLAND isn't a Terry Gilliam movie. TIDELAND is, and it's one of Gilliam's best films. It's a shame that it had such a butchered theatrical run. (Reply to this) |

postgray writes: on Oct 09 2007 01:15 PM Really? Is it always worth the wait? I think Gilliam is one of the most overrated directors. He is an amazingly talented visualist, but his storytelling and pacing are all over the place. I saw a workprint of GRIMM and between that and LOST IN LA MANCHA I had to reassess my admiration of him. I have no doubt why he has to struggle to raise money. He is incapable of working within a budget. Without a strong editor and 1st AD, he is nothing. (Reply to this) |

travis_blum writes: on Oct 09 2007 05:02 PM Terry Gilliam is a bad-***. Baron Munchausen rocks my sox off, and everything I've seen of his has tickled my fancy, so I for one am very excited to hear this. (Reply to this) |

Sprizmo writes: on Oct 09 2007 05:09 PM Gilliam truly needs to get his groove back. He is responsible for 2 of my favorite movies (12 Monkeys and Brazil) but that was oh so long ago. My friend gave me Tideland for my birthday and I'm literally afraid to watch it. I don't need further disillusion. If this movie ends up sucking, then I think thats just about it for him. With me that is. (Reply to this) |

Basilides in Alexandria writes: on Oct 09 2007 07:32 PM Gilliam is brilliant. If I was a billionaire I would finance all his projects... Anyway, I can't wait for "Parnassus", it sounds awesome... (Reply to this) |

paddy garcia writes: on Oct 09 2007 09:01 PM I love Gilliam...but he hasn't directed a good film since 12 Monkeys in the mid-90's. Still, we'll see. (Reply to this) |
