Critic Review - Boston Herald

An attempt to make a live-action nature film with the same sort of emotional wallop as the legendary 1994 animated smash "The Lion King," "African Cats" was doomed to come off as phony.

OK the "best dad ever" comment was too much but wow so you knock such a wonderful film, such powerful scenery and story, to a B- over that? Does oh say miserable spoilsport come to mind? People need to see more of this sort of thing and connect back to nature again.

Its a G-rated family film moron. If you want realism then go to Africa and read your review to a hungry lion while the cameras roll.
