Critic Review - LarsenOnFilm

Most of the jokes are groan-worthy, and some are downright racist.

I want to post a mean and sarcastic post against you for what you did, but quite frankly i'm to mad to think of one. Not only have you knocked this of RT's 100 greatest filxs of all time but you have now probably lost all respect as a critic. If anyone had you as a "My Critic" they sure don't anymore.
Your a Barnacle Head.

Noooo... I can see why you'd fault it where you did but I thought the racial humor was hilarious and relatively inoffensive.

does he not realize that some of the jokes are supposed to be racist? it's all in good fun, so it's not hurting anyone.

There is a reason this is one of the funniest films of all time, and very possibly THE funniest film of all time. They play on cliche's, thinking outside of the box on what's inside the box. The racism, yes, does at some points get offensive, but thats for about five minutes. The film plays with the audience, making it become groan worthy. Plus, most of the one-liners, however groan worthy they are played out, are pretty darn funny. I can't believe a teenager had to tell a critic this.

so, is anything funny to you, or do you just not have a sense of humor?

I won't call you a idiot, but I will say:
This was releaced in the 1980's, at a time when political corectness wasn't thrown around as much as it is today. So, it may seem racist now, but people probably didn't care at the time.

Downright racist? So you're one of those people who gets offended for other people even when those who should be offended aren't?

seriously. this critic's concern for racism makes me cringe so much more than any of the racial jokes in the movie.

There's always a guy that's not quite bright enough to 'get it.' From the guy that thinks Star Trek V is better than Star Trek 2

You've got to be kidding?!

Airplane! - despite spoofing things that were more current at the time (1980), this film is still funniest comedy ever made.

Zucker, Zucker, and Abrahams - pure geniuses!

Racist jokes? Really? Are we still so racially sensitive that we can't make fun of how a certain person talks or acts just because they're of a certain skin color? Sad, very sad.
