Jonathan Rosenbaum
Grade-school violence freaks may find a few kicks here, but even they may have trouble coping with this ugly movie's ending about eight separate times. [More]

You do realize its based off of a series of graphic novels. Its insane they were even able to pull it off as a feature length animation you twit.

Ok. Mr Rosenbaum obviously dont have a clue where Akira comes from. He dont know about the enormous graphic novel published years before that movie that remained unkown to USA until 1987 and obviously dont give a dam about the fact that this graphic novel was made old school black and white without any computer help. This sentence, concidering the thickness of the several volumes of the story, is enough. Mr Rosenbaum, concider trying to find another job to do. You missed a very very big opportunity to shut up. Akira as a novel was maid only a couple of years after ... Goldorak (!!!). Its like having RadioHead in concert in 1985 with Wham! and Culture Club ... You dont know nothing about Akira. Please, stick to what you know.

Wow. For a person to hate this movie so much is beyond me. I mean this movie opened another world for japanese anime. I guess its to bad for you they are making a live action film of this movie. You know who wanted to produce it? It was Leonardo Dicaprio who thought this movie was worth making again. So I guess that made your day huh........hehe=]
