Critic Review - Village Voice

It's dull, talky, and sometimes maudlin.

I think that it is a good, historical movie. I've been studying the battle of the alamo, as well as events that lead up to it's siege and the battle of san jacito. This movie is more historically accurate than an adventure/western. It is a movie where you need to know, and love the history behind it. This story is about the amazing things Sam Houston, David Crockett, William Travis, and James Bowie did, and the amazingly complicated lives they had. If you really know their individual stories, and researched them, you see this movie in a completely different life.
