Although Alex Archer is an excellent swimmer, her goal won't be easily achieved. A chief obstacle is the fierce competition of Maggie Benton, who recently moved to New Zealand from Singapore. Making matters worse, it seems that Maggie's scheming mother will do anything to help her daughter win a spot on the team. Meanwhile, Alex's coach, Mr. Jack, grows annoyed that his student won't set aside her other duties to focus on swimming alone. Among the other obligations that take time out of her practice are ballet classes, hockey, and a role in a school production of "The Mikado." Alex also tries to make time for her loving boyfriend, Andy Richmond. Will this hard-working girl have what it takes to make her dream come true? [More]
