One afternoon Bucum chases Reggie into a commercial shoot where they stumble upon a diamond heist culminating in a multiple slaying. Both men feel lucky to make it out alive, but they also feel a need to return to the case. While Bucum seeks a major bust to boost his standing as an investigator, Reggie must recover a winning lottery ticket that was lost in the getaway car. This unlikely duo pair up to take down the powerful crime syndicate responsible with unwanted assistance from the women in their lives (Eva Mendes and Valarie Rae Miller). Unnecessarily sadistic, this bombastic buddy picture is sprinkled with missing frame action effects, villains with European accents, and exotic fish. Like the Ice Cube vehicle FRIDAY, the star doubles as screenwriter and plays a straight man to his co-star. In this case, the counterpart is Mike Epps who cracks wise and utilizes his vocal talents to provide the humor in this action comedy. [More]

Reviews for All About the Benjamins
It's fun to watch the stocky, scowling Ice Cube and skinny, jittery Epps play off each other.
Thanks to Ice Cube, Benjamins feels an awful lot like Friday in Miami.
A slam-bang extravaganza that is all about a wild-and-woolly, wall-to-wall good time.
In this refreshingly shameless celebration of money and expensive stuff, director Kevin Bray grabs every retro action-film cliché.
There is a general air of exuberance in All About The Benjamins that's hard to resist.
It's refreshingly low-tech, more like a '70s action movie than a modern-day one.
I could go on and on about how funny this film is, because it is truly great comedy.
For much of its running time, All About the Benjamins is good, sleazy fun.
...in no way original, or even all that memorable, but as downtown Saturday matinee brain candy, it doesn't disappoint.
It’s often a sloppy and muddled tale – but there are much worse ways to spend a random 90 minutes.
