Anna dreams of becoming an actress, so she leaves her native France for New York City to make her wishes a reality. She shares an apartment with her friend Felicity. One day, Anna visits a museum and marvels at the paintings of the 17th century Dutch artist Jan Vermeer. At the exhibit, Anna meets Mark, a frazzled Wall Street executive.
