Synopsis: Chuck, a little league baseball pitcher, sees a Minuteman nuclear missile and refuses to pitch as a protest against nuclear weapons. The press picks up the story and it is read by a star of the... Chuck, a little league baseball pitcher, sees a Minuteman nuclear missile and refuses to pitch as a protest against nuclear weapons. The press picks up the story and it is read by a star of the Boston Celtics, who supports the boy's protest. Soon members of the Miami Dolphins have joined them, helping to spread the protest to Major League baseball players and other athletes in both Russia and the United States. Eventually, when it seems that baseball season will have to be cancelled because of all the boycotting players, the boy gets audience with the president that leads to a summit hearing and a commitment from Russia and the U.S. to total nuclear disarmament -- and to Chuck's return to Little League playing.
