It's daring in that it sympathizes with a protagonist who's a pederast though its portrait of an American family on the brink of collapse is essentially a cartoon
Of course it's daring in that it sympathizes with a pederast. That's not review, that's basically a given.
The part you DO actually attempt to review is pretty off too. It's supposed to be a cartoon. the watcher steps back and looks at this family and it's basically funny, cartoony. Your review is right for all the wrong reasons
I'm not sure which version of American Beauty you saw, but the copy I watched several times did not contain sympathy for the 'pederast' - and for future reference a pederast is generally a male who has sex with a boy as the passive partner - I believe the word you're looking for is 'homosexual'.
You didnt get the movie at all did you? I don't even think your idiotic comment deserves any attention. There are so much themes and symbols in this movie that your tiny and stubborn mind cant understand.
I would like to formulate a well-thought, poignant, concise response to your opinion. However, I'm going to take the low road here and just call you a stupid F*cking Jackass instead. Chump
You just don't get it...do you? Ahh, but that's the beauty of being a critic, you have nothing better to do than to try and preside over a job of free movies with very little understanding. It's too bad, just too bad; for you're essentially...just a cartoon critic.
your an idiot. it raises the question how people actually become film critics. i am 16 and i can tell you that you are clearly unfit to be a critic as you do not like this movie that is obviously one of the greatest of all time
I have a question. Have you ever been right in your entire life? Based on this one incredibly wrong and stupid comment, i would say that you have never been right about anything. I would also say that all the reviews about the movies you watch are completely inaccurate.
You sound like a fuckin' idiot. Just because a movie is 'classic' or good in your eyes, doesn't make it the basis for a fallacy on the part of a critic. What makes it a fallacy is misunderstanding the the film as a whole, and making objectional, false judgments on the film, as this critic has.

That comment excerpt not only doesn't make sense as a sentence, but the bit that does is completely inaccurate.
