It's hard to watch Wright's version without wondering what might have been, if only Knightley had a worthier scene partner than Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

This is a 3-star review out of 5, so why is it considered 'rotten'?

what i've read a lot on these comments is the reviewer chooses to make it fresh or rotten, but i don't know if that's true.

I agree that they should have found an older actor than Aaron Johnson but I thought he was a hell of a lot better than any other British thespian in his age group.

Interesting. I thought Aaron's performance was the most interesting of all.

i thought aaron johnson's performance was great but him and keira knightley had no chemistry, perhaps because of the age gap, i just couldn't see any trace of compatibility
