Howling Mad: Academy Award winner Russel Crowe

Hannibal: Academy Award winner Anthony Hopkins (c'mon)

Faceman: Academy Award nominee Mark Wahlberg

B.A. (Bad Attitude) Baracus: Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker

Directed by the only black director ever to be nominated for an Academy Award: John Singleton

Anyone else smell a few Oscar-callibur performances? Talk about an 'A Picture.'

OH MY GOD!!!! Ive been talking about this for years! In fact, it may have even been me that started those rumours in 2002 for casting suggestions (except christian bale)WTF?

Jim Carrey = Mad Murdoch.

Mel Gibson = Hannible Smith.

Ving Rhames/or Mr T himself(he still got it!) = BA

Brad Pit/Owen Wilson = Faceman

Bring on the A-TEAM *******

This is one TV to movie that i would love to see.

Has Hollywood learned nothing from "Bewitched," "The Dukes of Hazzard" or "My Favorite Martian?" TV to Silver Screen adaptations rarely work (I can count the ones that have on one hand), even when they are adapted from quality shows. 'The A-Team' was hardly "quality" television and I doubt the movie will be, either. Stop cannabalizing old TV shows and old movies, There are plenty of screenwriters with new, original ideas out there.

Yeah but theyre on strike! And before they were on strike, they were writing scripts that cannibalize tv shows.

Bring on the A TEAM! yes it will most likely suck, especially if it either takes itself too seriously or gets miscast. All it takes is a good brain and some imagination and this could rock.

Jim Carrey and Mel Gibson in the same movie is just day dreaming.
He are my humble suggestions.

George Clooney - Hannibal
Sam Rockwell - Mad Mordoch
Owen Wilson - Faceman, I couldn't come up with a better one.
Michael Clark Duncan - B.A.

clooney n rockwell, not bad ideas.
Gibson n carrey would be awsome, but i guess it would be dreaming Budget wise. But the quality would be awsome!

Clooney could pull off hanibal, but gibsons got the charisma n cigar chomping down to perfection.

Its John Singleton, who does do a pretty good job of replicating 70s and 80s-style action in his movies. Four Brothers was pretty fun and I loved Shaft (first time I got to see what a psycho Christian Bale could be.) Miami Vice probably would have rocked if he'd taken the helm and not Michael 'thanks for Heat but you completely forgot the point of your own TV show' Mann.

Mickey Rourke, Mark Wahlberg, Terrence Howard, and Ice Cube.

i hope this is as good as Honeymooners the movie!! oh wait...nevermind.

the clooney/pitt/gibson/hopkins ideas are funny...how 'bout humphrey bogart? or dr. phil? singleton isn't really a fan of pretty boy white people, and he's not exactly a fan of the pale anyway. at least thats what i get from every interview i've read 'bout the guy. so if this isn't an all black cast, there's no way those guys listed would be in it. Bale is a maybe because he was in Shaft, Wahlberg is probably a shoe in, and i'm guessing Tyrese as well. i don't see this being anything like what you people want though...so, good luck with that.

Forrest Whitaker???
Ice Cube???

You guys are either on crack or have never watched the show

Ice Cube is ***** and should never appear in a movie again, Whitaker is good.. but a BA Baracus he certainly is not.. how old is the guy anyways??? I'd start laughing at his crossed eyes and huge belly rather than being afraid he would kick my as$

Ving Rhames has the look and the attitude, Michael Clark Duncan has no personality

And Russel Crowe as Murdoch?? Seriously???

Jim Carrey would nail it so perfectly!

But really, most of these guys would be too old to be recent gulf war vets.. except for whoever takes the role of Hannibal, but I think even Hopkins would be waaay too old for someone recently being out in the field

Expect the cast to be young.. Wahlberg/Bale age at least

Mr.T should pay B.A. no question about that, if not him then no movie at all. Watch the Wow Ad with Mr.T, he still got his bad *** attitude.

Owen Wilson will be ok for Face,
Mel Gibson or George Cloony as Hannibal,
Carrey is the only one i can come up with for Murdoc
Mr.T reprise his role as B.A Baracus

I don't if any of you know this, but Singleton recently killed someone with his vehicle in an unfortunate accident. Although this movie may not be worth a crap, it's nice to see a talented director get some work. "Boyz N' the Hood" was magnificent. "Rosewood" is quite the overlooked western.

If I was Singleton, I think a revamp is in order. Making a more grittier and perhaps "realistic" approach.

BA Baracus- Ving Rhames

Howlin Mad Murdoc- Sam Rockwell

Templeton Peck- Timothy Olyphant

John Smith-Bruce Willis

Olyphant as Face is a nice choice
Bruce Willis as Hannibal??? Maybe...
Sam Rockwell as Murdoc would be Hilarious...

I always thought Ice Cube as BA, but he's not really heading up that list anymore. MCD is too big and doesn't come off as a badass... Bob Sapp can't act, nuff said. Tyrese should've been eaten by a Transformer and crapped out as a spark plug.

Come to think of it, a good BA would be the actor who played the main villain in Four Brothers, Chiwetel Ejiofor.

A really versatile actor (Inside Man, Serenity as well) who can be a real badass mofo when need be. The only thing he's got going against him is that it is impossible to remember and pronounce his name.

Speaking of Serenity...Nathan Fillion as Murdoc?

Buscemi and Rockwell, those are inspired choices.

Why hasn't anyone nominated Samuel L. Jackson yet for B.A.? Seems a natural fit. Is Ving Rhymes the guy from Green Mile? Maybe he would be a better choice with the paunch and the voice and all.

Why hasn't Batfink chimed in? It's been like 10 posts already.

was in such well known movies as Striptease and others that escape me at the moment.

and samuel l. jackson would be fine but hell i still think mr. t could still handle it.

its not like you need any real good actors just cool guys in popcorn action flick.

still, that rumored cast would have been mind blowing super. just seeing gibson and

carrey together would be interesting enough. still, i'm worried about batfink too, maybe

he fainted in shock over some of our cast suggestions.

I've been sitting her wondering why people keep suggesting Clooney or Gibson for Hannibal. If you are going to do the Gulf War then I'm think the oldest you would wanna go on this one is early 40's. Then depending on where you can't them in the story about the operation to bring down a terrorist safe house that went wrong. I'm actually trying to decide if the story is going to take place stateside or are they going to be down in South America bailing out one of their former commanders kids who himself into some trouble (unwitting drug smuggling or humanitarian project gone wrong) or are they going to be in Eastern Europe doing a similar scenario with maybe a socialist dictator thrown in? I think a post-9/11 society makes their function - small task force of renegades one step ahead of the law who save your town from the crooked sherrif or bring down the gunrunner who have taken over your town into a different light. So its gotta be something more believable??

HANNIBAL - Wow...I can't really think of anyone...just characteritics. I want whoever it is to be a cross between Bruce Willis (ala Live Free Die Hard)/Jean Claude Van Damme/Chuck Norris with that whole renegade fighter saving the world genre.
MURDOCH - Since Murdoch wasnt actually that crazy just pretending to be...I think this would be a great role for someone like Ed Norton or Ryan Reynolds or OMG Paul Walker.
BA - Ice T/Tyrese/Michale Jai White -- Since no one can be Mr.T...if you want to reimagine as one of the previous posters said...Mr. T was very 80's tough guy with the body building and mowhawk and jewelry...you have the opportunity to mix it up. I would even throw in LL Cool J...so we can have lots of muscle shots with wifebeaters and you know the ladies love cool j. Ice T and Tyrese both have street cred playing characters who came from the streets and then made something of themselves. Tyrese and LL are bald but I figured that with someone like Ice T...he could wear graphics etched in his hair instead of the mowhawk which would look awful.
FACE - At first I wanted Ryan Rynolds but I've decided that you gotta get with the times and have someone with more universal appeal besides a blonde so maybe like somebody Benjamin Bratt-ish who can cover both scenarios and span multiple ethnicities believably. I'd also want them to be a little more continental like so maybe a wealthy or diplomat's kid who joined the military and to update it he should be a super hacker. Maybe Oded Fehr or Enique Murciano or Eric Bana or maybe even Antonio Sabato Jr.

how about the chick in later episodes thinking angie jolie or ashley judd.

you casting directors better do a good job and talk to hard core fans of the show.

Any ways there's going to be every one and their gran ma's dog with an opinion on J Singleton (Shaft was ok-ish four brothers was better) and who the cast should be, but lets not lose sight of the fact that it ain't some much cast as it is story and direction. Rememeber all the bull **** about being the wrong choice, he's crap blah, blah, blah that Daniel Craig got before Casino Royale. Now he's the best Bond since Connery. Or Toby Maguire as Peter Parker for that matter. So who ever they Pick lets hope J Singleton can turn it in to Silver screen magic. He wouldn't have been my first choice but lets give him a chance before we crucify him.

Oh as for my cast list.
Hannibal: Kurt Russell, Dennis Leary
Face: Brandon Frasier, Josh Hollaway or any young new comer pretty boy with charisma
B.A: For me it as to be Terry Crews he as the face the height the body and the acting skill to pull off one mean mother.
Murdoch: Giovanni Ribisi
