Who wrote the plot? The wierd executive-type personas and their quest for a magical motor that doesn't use electricity (?) or something. Who cares?

Ayn Rand was a 1920s emigre from the Stalinist Soviet Union. The books are an anti-Soviet diatribe, and have nothing to do with the Tea Party. That our (i.e. the USA's) current government is doing many things that the Stalinist Soviet union did is pure coincidence (or is it?) Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it. The previous poster is clearly uneducated. This is one of the most famous books in the world, and IMO the movie renditions are fabulous, with fantastic acting and very true-to-life characters.
