If none of Glen Hansard and Marketa Irgolva's songs from Once are on the list, it will be a travesty.

I agree that Once should at least have 1 song on the list. If I were giving out nominations, I would have 2 or 3 songs from Once selected.

..You can't hold back spring by Tom Waits was used extensively in The Tiger and the Snow, and oscar goes to 3-6 Mafia?

Winning might be kind of an insult.

I saw Aimee Mann in concert last year, she still talks about how "Save Me" from Magnolia lost to "Phil Collins' Monkey love song."

"Death is the Road to Awe" from the Fountain is haunting.

Looks like Once has two songs eligible.

If Music and Lyrics gets a nomination, I will hunt down each and every member of the Academy Music Branch and cut off their ears. They don't deserve to hear anything ever again, should that be the case. I'm still trying to flush my brain of that movie/those songs.

Oh, I hope "Someday" from August Rush wins.

Dr. Hanso, if you cut off their ears, they can still here.

Remember Star Trek, WRATH OF KHAN? You have to put those worm thingies in each ear in order to be truly successful.

Let me know when you wish to start your mission, I'll supply the clown nose and fake teeth required.

I nominate "The World is the World," and "Hootenanny in my Heart" from Stud Manly; Private Dick. They are so good I can't even believe it.
