With its incredibly stunning visuals and compelling story line, James Cameron's 'Avatar' is memorable and meaningful. It's so much more than a film that looks cool with a 3-D treatment.
Great movie. Especially in 3-D!

In avatar, Most of the money is being made on 3D and IMAX screens, which could herald the start of a shift towards more %u201Chigh tech%u201D presentations for future Hollywood movies.

Compelling story line? It's Pocahontas. The movie was boring and not compelling at all. Only a mindless idiot would call that story compelling..

Yeah, and that's why it made so much in such a short period of time. It's easy to reason around this by saying that IMAX and regular 3D showings gave it a considerable boost, but the truth of the matter is that it would take a considerable amount of turnout and repeat viewing in order to get this kind of box office earnings in just a little over a month. I think a lot of us are assuming that IMAX 3D and regular 3D account for the majority of sales.Turns out that IMAX theaters are a very small percentage of the total amount of cinemas in any major city. It would require massive turnout and lots of repeat viewing for that to be the case. I guess all of these people are "mindless idiots" that also hated Pocahontas (since it's the movie that parallels this 'boring' storyline).

Madam, you are a fantastic writer. This is from Eve and Alex.Eve: I am an extremely picky person. But Avatar completely blew me away. What about you, Alex?Alex: The movie was phenomenal, and even that doesn't describe it. It has even ingeniously woven awareness for our evironment into it.Eve: That is a wonderful aspect. When I am an actress, I hope to help produce something as FREAKING JAW DROPPING PHENOMENAL as this.the12yearoldcritics have left the building.

I fully agree that the movie is extremely over rated. It is packed full of political agendas and environmental spin. The whole time, the movie demonizes people, indicating that we are disconnected to %u201CMother Earth%u201D, more to the point killing the planet it and raping of its natural resources, which no doubt is the point of the movie. There can be no argument, visual affects were stunning and the action was fantastic, but that was the extent of how good the movie was. The film concept is a perfect mix of Pocahontas, FernGully, and Wall-E. Don%u2019t believe me, check out this: http://failblog.org/2010/01/10/avatar-plot-fail/
