Avatar Concept Art Leaked?
An early look at James Cameron's new alien.
by Jeff Giles | November 28, 2007

You won't get to see James Cameron's Avatar in theaters until May of 2009, but fret not, sci-fi fans -- the Internet is a magical, unending source of leaked information, and thanks to JoBlo, you can get your first look at concept art from the film!

Taking MarketSaw's lead, JoBlo has posted what seems to be a drawing of one of the alien species featured in Avatar -- described by the site's Dave Davis as "sexy blue bioluminescent babes with tails." Click on the link below to see for yourself.

Avatar stars Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Zoe Saldana, and Sam Worthington in the 3-D tale of -- in JoBlo's words -- "a war veteran dispatched to a distant world, where he and others clash with indigenous humanoid lifeforms."

Yeah, not really that exciting. Looks like someone's been playing too much Halo for my tastes.

I have no thoughts on this.

Nothing to get excited about, but nothing to worry about either.

I think the real question is, it will have been 12 years since his last movie. Is he really still on the edge, or has he fallen behind? He was the king of action movies, and the rules have changed quite a bit. We'll see, I'm hoping it's everything we're hoping for and more.

like harris said, i really have no thoughts on this. it's not good or bad. it certianly doesn't lower my anticipation for this movie. i'm beyond hyped.

and harris, i have faith in Cameron. you say it's been 12 years, and things have changed. true, they may have changed, but in my opinion i probably can't even count five action/scifi movies that can even compete with Aliens and Terminator 2, and that's been well beyond 12 years for those. those two movies are simply amazing, classics that will remain two of my all time favorite movies. i'm only 22, but i saw both of those movies by age 5, and i've never been the same since. they were my gateways into everything i love about movies.

yes, i am nervous about this because it has been so long i'm scared to think of Cameron failing, but if anyone can do it, i think it's him.

The art isn't confirmed and it looks like a pretty basic sketch, the kind of sketches they have dozens of totally different possible designs for.

when will suicide booths be implemented so all of you can cease to exist so movies will not pain you anymore, especially rumored or early sketches
