Mr. Right writes: on Jan 25 2005 03:46 PM Those Animated Films sure look promising. Only 3? Shark Tale? Shrek 2? Give me a break. I think Shrek 2 will win (just like it did with those stupid People's Choice Awards) even though The Incredibles is way more deserving. The Incredibiles is the only one even worth nominating when compared to the others. (Reply to this) |

Tai writes: on Jan 25 2005 04:52 PM As long as Jamie Foxx doesn't win Best Actor, I'll be happy. Can't stand all of the attention he's getting. Frankly, none of the Best Actors really catch my interest, so I'll have to say pass on that category. I'm really surprised Garden State didn't get any nominations. (Reply to this) |

Best lead actor should go to Depp, since nobody else really stands out and the guy has been busting his butt these past few years. He should have won for Pirates, and the fact that a lead in a Disney flick got a nomination that high, like he did, I would suggest goes to show that people think he deserved it as well. He did a great job in Finding Neverland, with all his subtleties, and I would like to see him get rewarded for the work he's done thus far. ...cuz God knows he won't get anything but pure hell for what it looks like he's doing to Chocolate Factory. Cartoonami writes: on Jan 31 2005 09:12 AM Shark Tale? They picked Shark Tale over SpongeBob? The Tale got a 36 or 38% next to Sponges 69%. See the difference Academy? I bet they picked Dreamwork's crap just to suck up; Shrek won the first Animation Oscar. This is horse sh*t! (Reply to this) |

ffinixs writes: on Jan 31 2005 06:12 PM I like all the nominees except Shark Tale. It's funny how outraged I was that so many of my favorites from this year didn't get noticed when they first announced the nominations. But now, after I've seen all the hyped up films, I agree with the academy on all of them. There are however many films passed over not because they lacked quality but because of the stupid rules of the academy. They're so harsh especially on documentary and foreign film categories that it's ridiculous. The academy should really update their system. (Reply to this) |
