First Shot of the Reunion Between "Alien" and "Predator"
by Scott Weinberg | January 16, 2007
Discuss Article
At first it sounded like a true fanboy dream: "Alien" beasties and "Predator" monsters in the same movie! And then it came out -- and even those who "kinda" liked "Alien vs. Predator" would be quick to admit that the movie really shoulda been, well, better. But with each new sequel comes fresh hope, or if not fresh hope then new pics, like the one we now have for "Alien vs. Predator 2."

JoBlo brings us the intergalactic goods, and he snagged 'em from a German website called BlairWitch.de. Anyway click right here for your first glimpse of the alien-laden predator-packed sequel.

"AVP2" is currently being directed by fraternal filmmakers Greg & Colin Strause, from a screenplay by Shane Salerno ("Armageddon"). The flick doesn't open until December 10th, but we know it stars Reiko Aylesworth (aka the very gorgeous Michelle Dessler from "24") and bunch of actors whose names are only slightly familiar.

But we all know who the stars of "Alien vs. Predator 2" are. The title characters, of course, and here's hoping the sequel packs a little more "bite" than the original did.

And yeah, I think it's kinda funny to use the word "original" while describing the movie "Alien vs. Predator."

Oh hooray, its an image that looks exactlly like it could have been pulled from the first movie! What we want is a huge battle with hundreds of aliens and hundreds of predators. We got a glimpse in a flashback with millions of aliens, that was cool in the original movie, but we want more of that! One on one fighrs might seem cool at first, but at the end of the day all it is are a couple of men fighting in rubbery suits.

Hopefully this will be better than the original, even though I kind of liked it a lot.

i agree this desreves an R rating even though the first movie was pretty gory for a PG-13 movie (i guess) that's what dissapointed me the most besides the fact that it was so damn horrible.

If Aliens don't rip the flesh off every Predator, this movie will fail.

For me the success of the movie will hinge on the quality of the story and not the quantity of blood/gore.
