A unique force in world music, Eric Rigler's pipe playing is much in demand in Hollywood, where he has played on soundtracks for some of the largest productions in contemporary film, including TITANIC, BRAVEHEART, AUSTIN POWERS, TROY, and MASTER AND COMMANDER. Rigler has also recorded with performers such as Rod Stewart, Barbara Streisand, and Phil Collins, and Rigler's own band, Bad Haggis, has entertained audiences throughout the world with its sound that is by turns hauntingly beautiful and energetically pop-like. Incorporating unlikely instruments in unexpected combinations, the band is an international amalgam based in the Celtic music in which Rigler specializes. Added to the mix are South American percussion, urban influences, world beat, African, and rock, truly crossing all borders in a spectacular plethora of possibilities. The live show recorded here features the band performing with legendary Panamanian salsa singer Ruben Blades, known for his political lyrics and his innovation within the realm of Latin music; also making an appearance are the Los Angeles Scots Pipe Band.
