Cole Smithey
Just as ridiculous as the title implies, this ill-conceived sequel to Abel Ferrara's masterpiece ("Bad Lieutenant" - 1992) picks up some grains of muscular grit under the unlikely Werner Herzog's guidance, but flails every step of the way. [More]

Sequel? It's not a sequel, and Herzog claims it's not even a remake, as he never saw the original.

Can't judge the film because I haven't seen it, so I won't judge the review.

You are ridiculous and Im willing to bet all you do is give out bad reviews because you are a tool.

I'm not seeing this movie strictly because of Nick Cage's hair, which has gotten progressively worse with each movie he makes. It really is an eyesore.

Reviewer clearly is anti-Herzog ... he was going to give it a bad review before he even saw the movie.

Hint: If you want to appear impartial don't take shots like "under the unlikely Werner Herzog's guidance".

I've seen this movie. Off the rails crazy but fun. And this is from someone who hates Cage. He may be dead but his soul's still dancing.

It isn't a sequel. With such an obvious error, how can you expect us to give your review any credibility? Do your homework first. Research research research.

I agree, Smithey is a wanker but this does bring up the question "Why name it Bad Lieutenant if it has no connection to the origional?" I hope it's not only to cash in on the original's cult fame.

Actually, Herzog wanted it to only be called "Port of Call New Orleans" but the studio wanted the Bad Lieutenant in there because they thought that could get them more money.

At least that is what I read.
