To say that this is the BEST movie this summer is saying a lot. Well, we know for sure that White likes this teenie bopper %u201CMaking the Band%u201D better than Star Trek, Up, 500 Days of Summer, Harry Potter 6, In the Loop, Thirst, District 9, and Inglorious Basterds which all the other critics have hailed at great celluloid but he has chosen to hate! on Aug 25 2009 05:59 AM The movie was pretty decent and sort of Juno vibe going for it. The marketing was God awful(the thing that plagued Adventureland). Best American movie of the summer? on Aug 25 2009 03:21 PM Wow..I wonder if it was better than Transporter 3. Armond is about as 'classy' a critic as there can be. And by 'classy' I mean in a class all by himself! He is amazing! Truly a master! This really must be a piece of crap! Okay..to clarify: 1) What class is he in? Kindergarten (because my dog can review movies better than he can, at least she wags her tails at the good ones) 2) Amazing? Yes, he is amazingly horrible at writing reviews. His wordsmithing makes me nauseous. 3) A master? Yes, he is masterful at making people really pissed off when it comes to his reviews. He should be fired from his current job at the New York Press but he would probably pull the 'race' card if they tried to do that. This movie is for tweeners who watch the Disney Channel but that has been Armond's target audience for years. If you don't believe me check out his reviews of Transformers 2 and Transporter 3. Each of these movies appeal to a very 'defined' audience. (Reply to this) |

on Dec 16 2009 07:42 AM Bandslam is not bad for a movie that features Vanessa Hudgens (aka that latina chick from HSM), but it's certainly not the "best American movie this summer" either, not even close. Once again this review proved that Armond may fail as a credible film critic, but he never fails to amaze me with his absurdity. (Reply to this) |
