Filled with dogfights and high drama, this trio of Air Force favorites includes BATTLE OF BRITAIN, a powerful and colorful portrayal of an understaffed, technically inferior royal air-crew who valiantly holds off the superior forces of the German Luftwaffe, starring Michael Caine, Robert Shaw, Curt Jurgens, and Laurence Olivier. Also included are TWELVE O' CLOCK HIGH, featuring Gregory Peck as a fearless brigadier, and the World War I drama THE BLUE MAX. See individual titles for more detailed information. [More]

  • THE BLUE MAX
  • James Mason, George Peppard and Ursula Andress highlight this stirring drama set in Germany during the close of World War I. Bruno Stachel (Peppard), a peasant promoted into the elite German air force, finds himself battling both the enemy in the sky and the prejudices of higher-born fellow flyers. To overcome the stigma, Stachel proves he will go to any length to win his country's most coveted air medal: "Blue Max."
  • BATTLE OF BRITAIN
  • Featuring a "stellar cast" (Variety), including Michael Caine, Trevor Howard, Laurence Olivier, ChristopherPlummer,MichaelRedgrave, Robert Shaw, Susannah York and Edward Fox, Battle of Britain is a spectacular retelling of a true story that shows courage at its inspiring best. When the outnumbered Royal Air Force engaged the German Luftwaffe, they not only defied insurmountable odds, but also altered the course of history.
  • TWELVE O'CLOCK HIGH
  • This gritty World War II action drama, starring Gregory Peck, Oscar® Winner Dean Jagger, Hugh Marlowe, Gary Merrill and Millard Mitchell, is one of the most realistic portrayals of the heroics and perils of war. Convinced an Air Force commander is at the breaking point, Brigadier General Savage (Peck) takes over his bomber group. Despite the flyers' reluctance to warm up to a new leader, Savage soon guides them to amazing feats.
