I'm open to all comedy movies, even if they look bad. Look at Grandma's Boy, people said that looked stupid, and it turned out to be one of the funniest movies!!!! BE KIND REWIND!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having seen the flick, I'd say none of you have it spot on. It's not hysterical, but it's not sickly heartfelt either. It falls somewhere between the two. It's rather beautifully naive, or its characters are, and the swede moments are very funny, but it never really comes together. It's worth seeing, but I wouldn't go crazy. Definitely a 60-70% flick.

This honestly looks very disappointing. After giving us The Science of Sleep and the absolutely incredible Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Gondry is trying to give us a theatrical YouTube clip? Still I'll give it a chance because it is Michael Gondry after all.

I dunno...science of sleep put me to sleep...and i realy tried to give it a chance -4 actually, and every time same result. this one though... meh. i wasn't that excited by the initial previews either...all it is a different take on the remake craze or at least that how it seems to me... and all that boils down to is capitalizing on nostalgia. twelve dollars for a glorified home movie? no thanks.

This scene is 70% of why I wanted to see the movie. The other 30% was my love for Mos Def. I just hate Jack Black. He reminds of that kid in school that tried way too hard to be funny. I haven't seen a movie with Jack that I liked, but I must admit to not seeing King Kong yet. I'll do my best to forget he's in it, but I just can't stand him.

Out of what everyone has been saying: I love Jack Black, Michel Gondry, Chris Kattan, Will Ferrell, David Spade, Chris Farley, etc... almost everyone that someone has mentioned they hate, I REALLY like. Loved the snl and madtv casts of the 90s. But within the last 6 or 7 years they have both been so bad that I feel embarassed for the everyone involved.
