04/02/2014 We love you more than ice cream...even chocolate. Frances is a badger that has a little sister and lives with her mama and daddy badger. Frances loves lizards and she loves her little sister; unfortunately, sister's can be a pain sometimes and thwart her plans. This happens one inauspicious day when she plans to go to a local lizard park and her sister becomes sick. How will Frances handle the disappointing news that she may not be able to go to the park because of her sick sister? "How can the window have a job?" "Everybody has a job." Bedtime for Frances is a cartoon based on the book by Russell Hoban. The storyline for this picture is just okay and wasn't about "bedtime" as much as I expected. The interactions between characters were okay and the script was fairly mediocre. The animation is nothing special but isn't 80s 2D it is a strange lower end 3D. "Do you want to see?" "No they do not." We watched this off Netflix before my daughter went to bed the other night. We were pleasantly surprised by the pace and direction of the movie. The premise is really about the dynamics of having a demanding little sister that draws attention away from the older sibling. There were definitely good lessons here, just maybe not the lessons you'd anticipate. Overall, this is worth a viewing but I wouldn't add it to my child's DVD collection.
